Migrated to TailStatic

It's been a while since I was writing my posts on Substack and Medium. They are good writing platforms, but they don't have enough customization options for a personal websites.

In addition, for my use case it didn't seem reasonable to use CMS like Wordpress. Unnecessary plugin clutter, random attacks and DB calls for a site that occassionally changes.

Since I made TailStatic for creating these types of websites, what better experiment would have been to move my posts from Substack and Medium to my own personal hosted website.

I first exported posts from these platforms in HTML.

Then added an option to import these html to markdown inside TailStatic dashboard.

Result is a fast prerendered static website with blog posts written as markdown. No DB calls. No plugin hell.

All speed is good speed.
