AI is getting better each passing day

Things are moving very quickly. And quickly means really quick. Six months back when I had to create an app for my social meet, I was not able to get a working version. The AI capabilities were good, but not that great that I could setup the app in one go.

That time, it provided a basic skeleton but I had to do lot of coding manually.

Fast forward 6 months later, yesterday, I created an app, a completely functional app for our upcoming meet. And it took me 15 minutes to get a prototype ready.

15 minutes is now what it takes to dump down your ideas to a working project.

Of-course I created a very detailed prompt of what I wanted. I explained the architecture, the database structure, the coding standards to follow, the dos, the don'ts. Everything in detail.

I then ask it to modify some issues, add some more features, updated the db schema, all in the span of five hours.

I need to make some more adjustments that I'll be doing before it becomes fully usable, but you get the point I am trying to make here.

If you want to make best use of AI, assume it knows nothing and tell it everything to the very specificity of what you want.

Remember an app is AI slop only if you created it with a sloppy prompt.

If you are still not using AI, you are not only missing out, you are deliberately making yourself run last in this marathon.

AI is getting better each passing day and there is no going back, whatsoever.
